Department of Sanskrit

The Department of Sanskrit was commenced along with the establishment of the College in the year 2011. The college was affiliated to the University of Burdwan. Initially General Degree Course was introduced in the year 2011. Later on Honours Under Graduate Course was started in the year 2012. Since 2010 it came under the affiliation to the University Of Burdwan. The Department of Sanskrit offers three years undergraduate Honours and General degree course to the students of Lokepara Mahavidyalaya . The Department of Sanskrit now offers four years undergraduate Honours and three years General degree course to their students under the Program NEP 2020

The teachers of the department teach this language in an the interesting and innovative way so that the students can read, write and speak in Sanskrit and get the knowledge of ancient literature effortlessly. Motivate new generation about their country and society by giving moral education.
