Department of Bengali

Bengali department of lokepara Mahavidyalaya started its journey in 2010 with Bengali General Course. In 2011 Honours Course was opened in this department. At present there are three faculty members, among them one is Assistant Professor and the rest two are SACT teachers. All the teachers in the department strive to improve the literary sense of the students. The college library has over 900 books which help to meet the needs of the students to some extent. Here even in Limited conditions students are tried to be given quality teaching and familiarized with the endless wealth of Bengali literature. Apart from this they can know their own heritage by being informed about regional author and their literary works. Despite the obstacles the students who passed from the Bengali department enter the field of Higher Education and go to study in various universities of West Bengal.
