Lokepara Mahavidyalaya

The Lokepara Mahavidyalaya was established in 2010. The area adjacent to Lokepara Mahavidyalaya is a remote rural area. Student of this college come from these rural areas. The people of the Lokepara and adjoining areas quite keen on sports and had many talents in various sports activities. Considering the sporting spirit of the people of this area, the governing body of Lokepara Mahavidyalaya applied for the inclusion of physical Education as a general subject and the Universities were kind enough to include the subject in 2011. Since 2011, Physical Education has been introduced as a general subject in Lokepara Mahavidyalaya. Students of our department take leading role in social activities as NSS volunteers in and outside college campus. In the current session students studying Physical Education as a general subject (counting Semester NEP-3Yr. Major-I & III semester, CBCS-V students together)

Physical Education is crucial for student`s health, well-being, and academic performance. It helps to develop motor skill, coordination, physical fitness, and it encourages sports and extracurricular activities.

Our department provides specialized programmes to ensure all students’ participation so that they could be benefited from these initiatives.
